If Warren and Joe C were so willing to go to Germany, all they needed to do was make it happen. There are ways to make fight happen. Drop a low rated belt and become a mandatory is one. Make the champ look bad and hope his ego would make the fight. But I do agree. I would pick Joe C over Ottke 7 says a week and twice on Sunday. I don't even think crooked German judging could take a win from Joe C over Ottke. Be too obvious. But the fact that two guys in the same weight class where making 20 defenses nearly at the same time does make both look pretty suspect.

both europeans, ottke and calzaghe should have fought before bottom line. And most of all, ottke was more known before rather than joe because he holds 2 belts. Joe would win against him if they ever fought but they didn't.

Don't give us the BS that joe would just get robbed. He would dominate ottke clearly and would not get rob and perhaps knock him out.

all in all, ottke perhaps got about 3 or 4 robberies throughout his life

umm..ottke was more recognized back then because he holds 2 belts, he was pretty known in the boxing world, but it was a division only few people cared about by that time because it was shadowed by big stars back then at middleweight and LHW

    C'mon, Toney would kill him.

RJJ, Calzaghe, also Benn - he wouldn't stand a chance against them, in or outside Germany.

Most of the time, he has defended against nobodies. When he fought someone of note, it almost always seemed to end in controversy (he's the main reason people are convinced German refs and judges are a bunch of biased pricks, though the Danny Williams fight doesn't help matters). The only time he had a legit win was against overrated Mundine, and even that came from a fluke hard punch after falling behind in the cards (in Germany, at that). Glen Johnson, Charles Brewer (twice), and Bryon Mitchell all got screwed.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Ottke is a fraud's fraud - and a featherfisted one at that.

Still starched that glass-jawed joke Mundine, though!

All the more a shame Calzaghe hide behind that WBO-title instead o earning a rank with WBA and forcing Ottke to fight...

Much bad can be said about Ottke (and it should) but he fought his mandatories - not like alzaghe for instanse...

Brewer got screwed the first time around and beaen fair and square the second time. Glen Johnson also lost that fight - no robbery there. Mitchell also lost - close but he lost - no robbery. Reid also lost although I'll give you that the referee was trerieble. Larsen-Ottke was also very very close and would have ended in a Larsen victory most other places.

All in all Ottke had many many close fights - but that has always been his trademark - not doing anything more than nessesary - and knowing the score all along always helped to that end. But the only "real" robberies was Brewer #1 and Reid - the rest wasn't robberies - no reason to make it worse that it actually was.

One good thing about Ottke was his fight-rate - four fights a year - most modern stars could learn something there!

Reid got a point deducted for hitting ottke to hard :rofl :rofl :rofl

So what should of been a 10-8 round to reid was scored 10-9 to ottke thats the equivelant of 3 rounds.

    :yikes

Therefore on that round alone not including all the other cheating by the ref what chance did reid ever have of winning cheating german *******s!!!!!!

Just watch how they tried to cheat danny williams friday
