    Nope, not even close.

    You are getting the odds mixed about. Joshua is 1/66 but Takam is 12/1. Buster Douglas was 42/1.

    The only reservation about Takam is the possibility that he's hasn't actually been in a proper training camp.
    We're told he was.
    But who knows.

    Takam is certainly a very fine 2week replacement. He way better than Buffet Stiverne whose training camp was based in Burger king.

    **** Tyson's resume is thin. Outside of Wlad and Chisora he really hasn't beat anyone of note - no disrespect to USS who was a great cruiser but too small and too old to be a force a HW and even then he still came closest to handing Tyson his first L.

    Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t McDermott get jobbed vs Tyson in their first fight.

    The above thin resume is why no one fancied him vs Wlad and why it didn’t do astronomical numbers on ppv imo.
    Nobody rated him...or at least not many did, Haye thought he’d have an easy night with him...

    Just admit you are wrong. Can't understand people like that. U made a mistake and assumed because Joshua is 1/50 (or whatever) then Takam must be 50/1. #L

    Douglas was 42-1. There was no odds given for a Tyson victory, and only one bookmaker in Vegas had odds for it. This was well known.

    Most places have Joshua as 1/50 but Takam at 12/1. Douglas was over 3x the odds at 42/1. The highest odds I've ever seen for a fighter. The second highest I've seen was 33/1 on Katie Taylor's debut opponent, and Taylor was 1/200. So hypothetically speaking, if there were going to be odds on Tyson to beat Douglas, it would have been about 1/300.

    Yeah except the inept or corrupt Terry O'Connor - take your pick - made sure that the 'right' fighter had his hand raised there. I don't think poor old John had a chance of winning a decision.

    USS however nearly one shotted Tyson into dreamland.

    Tyson Fury's reputation is almost entirely based on the win over Wlad.
    But that was a great win.

    So far, an older, rustier version of Wlad in a skin-of-his-teeth brawl is all Anthony Joshua has too.

    And then, across the pond, we have Wilder. He's 38-0 with 5 or 6 defences and his resume is total ****.

    Joseph Parker has a win over Takam.
    As does Alexander Povetkin, who has a pretty decent resume compared to these younger guys. But Povetkin is on his way out, if he's even ever given a big chance again.
