Gervonta Davis is avoiding all good fighters not just slick black.. I don’t think he’ll ever fight Stevenson or Haney along with Josh Taylor or Teo..

I get the sense that part of their process is putting him in with fighters who bring in another fan base, like Mexico or Puerto Rico.

Same with Eastern European ones. I think it's a fanbase issue more than fear. No controversy here mods but Blacks people don't go to fights live like Hispanics and Whites. I go to plenty of live fights here in So Cal and unless it's a solid name with a big family or following and you are black, there won't be many people showing up to see you. I went to 3 of Haney's early fights and one for Maurice Hooker all were filled with people that came with them. I went to a no name fight for a local Mexican kid at Del Mar racetrack and this guy packed the house. He never made it big, but he had a great local following. Arum was right even though he wasn't supposed to say it out loud. That's why Floyd chose to be a villain. Them early Michigan fights were not what they were when he became Money May.

Davis has avoided all slick boxers as well as this that could threaten him. He just needs to shut up and step up. A fight between Davis and Stevenson would fill the house, so this nonsense that two blacks fighting doesn't sell is pure BS.
