Is Tank Davis or Devin Haney the more hyped boxer?

    Great question.

    I'll vote for Tank's draw since one can at least make an intellectual argument that Garcia did in fact cheat.

    We were told for years both Harvey Dock and Steve Willis were two of the best refs in the game and were on the level but these two fights exposed the pretence of that

    Dock literally did everything within his power to save Haney from a KO loss and he wasn't even subtle about it

    And Willis saved Twink from a certain loss with that no knockdown call

    I want to give him the benefit of the doubt because it was only one moment in the fight whereas Dock's corruption was on full display all night. However, it's hard to do because it was so egregious

    I'm not sure if there are any on the level refs out there

    Haney's is probably worse. Tank was narrowly outboxed, Haney got whooped all over the ring. And lets not act like most guys aren't on something... I mean do we really think Beterbiev is clean? Like really?

    I can’t stand Haney but Ryan Garcia is a dangerous fighter Roach is not and he embarrassed Tank as a 10 to 1 underdog.

    Haney's far more overhyped.

    People thought Tank was a skilled KO artist who doesn't take on elite challengers because maybe he doesn't want to continue honing his craft and is a money fighter. He is that.

    Haney was sold as the next Mayweather. He has no chin, no power, no adaptability at the elite level. His big "skill" is rehydrating. Tank would've beat him if they ever met.

    Haney at least fought a top guy in Loma while Gervonta has yet to fight the top guys in any division. Both suck but Gervonta is worse he's probably the most risk averse fighter that I can remember.
