The likes of of Haney, Kambosos, Lomachenko and Lopez all sit comfortably above him at LW.

Tank scored a highlight reel ko against the lowly regarded Romero, so is this the moment he finally steps up and chases the big fights?

I wanna see him do whatever Haney demands to make the fight happen next, but something tells me Davis will pretend to be the A side to avoid the fight.

No. He's in a rare position where his reputation doesn't suffer from fighting inferior opposition so we'll continue to see more of the same.

Lol no. Then when he does 250k ppvs people will say it was a huge success and he’s a superstar. Plus, he’s still young.

Tank has admitted he doesn't fight anyone. He doesn't care. Complete lack of ambition. They're gonna keep lining them up for him until the inevitable cherry pick gone wrong. Look at Wilder's career, same thing.

    Just like Wilder.

For as long as there are numpties happy to nuthug and claim them as "real", these guys will happily cruise along taking limited challenges and taking limited damage - it's all about the image, you don't need to go out of your way to prove you're the best if you can trick people into believing it without taking risks.

Not every fighter needs to know in their own mind that they're the best - a surprising number are happy as long as they're regarded as such.

Nothing like Wilder, Tank can box and box very well. Wilder relied 90% on his power. Wilder's only losses came at the hands of Fury and Fury was no cherry pick. He is just a better fighter than Wilder and that's because of his boxing ability. Tank will fight whomever, he was under the guidance of Mayweather promotions and his first contract was written up that way. That's one of the reasons he wanted out. Now I think that the has more input on who he fights and we will see him going after the cream of the crop in the 135 lb division. He's ready.

    Lol.

Nah he ain't stepping up and why should he? He doesn't care about legacy, only image. He gets paid well for feasting on lower weight guys moving up like Gamboa and LSC.

Nah, he makes good dough fighting lower tier opponents so why would you. He obviously likes to box and comes in ready to fight but he isn't in it for legacy, I feel. Reminds me of Judah or Calzaghe in a sense.

After a close tough fight with Cruz he was asked if he would give Cruz a rematch and he answered with a "Hell No" so i dont think hes going to fight the top guys anytime soon. Hope im wrong though.

Everyone used to think Judah was the most talented at 140.

But talent as an objective measure is only as good as the level its been proven against.

For Tank that's not very high.

Of course Fury was a cherry pick. He'd been sat on his couch for two years getting wrecked and went upto nearly 400lbs in weight.
The only name on Fury's resume was Vlad from a few years before his drug ban and later depression.
Back on topic of Tank....he will continue to fight below his level but it will probably come unstuck at some point.

    Fury called out Wilder.
