A 3 division world champ? Tell me one division when he actually beat the champ of the world, just one.

He's been a belt holder for 5 years man. How long should we have to wait?

He won 3 different belts at 130 pounds. So he fought and beat the best.

I'll repeat myself as you appear to not understand.
It's irrelevant who asked who if the said fighter has avoided all the top dogs and contenders in the division.
That is the fact of the matter and if Wilder had fought some of them then your position would be more reasonable.
Wilder didn't fight anyone else so it is a cherry pick.

I don't understand why you can't be honest with yourself?

He never once beat the best SFW fighters in the world.

I do think there's a solid argument that after destroying Cuellar he was seen as the best, but Pedraza and Cuellar were not the best fighters in their division at any point.

You don't think they were the best neither.

I am ok with Haney being the indisputed champ. That don't make him above Tank, A fighter's skillset don't automatically change because they win some belts. You can ask Kambozo about that. Based on skills alone, nobody at 135 is above Tank. His skillset is on par or better than any fighter at 135.

Come on man, that's weak, Cherry picking and answering a challenge are two different things. Take the words and apply them to the situation and you will have your answer. It's as simple as that. I am not buying what you are trying to sell.

Look Manfred I think I respectfully disagree.
You are taking it literally that a cherry pick only happens in that fighter picks the opponent.
I'm saying a cherry pick can go both ways. who instigates or makes the first call is irrelevant it still a cherry pick and not dependant on who moves first.
You are literally making up a stipulation that isn't there. I'm off to have some food and when I come back I will present a few examples that support my position.

Irrelevant whether they were the best or not and we can’t see whether they were or not definitively but we’re amongst the very best at the time.

There is stipulation in the meaning of words. They mean what they mean and they are interpretated on that fact. You stated that Wilder cherry picked Fury, Fact is that Fury picked Wilder to call out and Wilder answered the call. Now if you have assigned a different meaning for the words pick or challenge then you need to let me know and that way I can interpret it the way you want me to.

It’s not fair that he gets a high chair and nobody else does.

Nice try Manfred....I'm afraid you are wrong.
    cherry-pick
    verb
verb: cherry-pick; 3rd person present: cherry-picks; past tense: cherry-picked; past participle: cherry-picked; gerund or present participle: cherry-picking; verb: cherrypick; 3rd person present: cherrypicks; past tense: cherrypicked; past participle: cherrypicked; gerund or present participle: cherrypicking
choose and take only (the most beneficial or profitable items, opportunities, etc.) from what is available.

As you will note there's no requirement versus who asks who. cherry-pick means to choose and take the most beneficial from what is available.

In other words as previously stated who asks who is irrelevant.
