Is Tarver's KO of Jones one of the most Bad ass moments in boxing?

    Obviously a much larger upset, and I don't know about all the background to the fight with the trash talk etc as I wasn't born, but from what I've seen, "You got any excuses tonight, Roy?" BAM' Was just bad ass all around, even if it wasn't as big an upset as Tyson - Douglas.

    How do you mean more legit sorry? I don't follow. Superman RJJ who dominated his whole career, just won a heavyweight world title 50lb north of where he first started fighting and was viewed as invincible got KTFO in round 2. "You got any excuses tonight, Roy?"

    **** off. Jones was considered untouchable. Put your hate for Jones aside or whatever... A fighter talks a lot of **** in a build up to a fight, loses a close decision to someone widely regarded as one of the greatest in the world. Gets his rematch, "Got any excuses tonight, Roy?" BOOM KO of the year. Massive upset. Great win delivered in bad ass fashion.

    Yeah definitely, Tarver was calling Roy out for years. Then, when they finally fight, many felt Tarver won, in the rematch he comes out with that line that is now immortal. Have to give the man credit, Jones was p4p number 1 at the time.

    Just a truely fantastic KO. I am not a hater of Jones or a Tarver fan. In fact, I dislike Tarver. :nut

    Jones looked weak as **** in the first Tarver fight, he almost lost right there, even a blind could see he wasn't the same man after coming back from HW and that his days as the main man were numbered if he kept relying on athleticism (which he did, since he never learnt actual boxing skills). Ofc nobody expected his chin to be shattered in such a disgraceful fashion, but Tarver's victory wasn't as impressive as you make it out to be. If he had destroyed Jones before the Ruiz fight, now that'd be REALLY impressive
