The million dollar question. It seems that JT career is over, but it is up to him as to when he will make the announcemnt. Obviously he will need to do it timely enough for Showtime to decide on the replacement to make the second round happen. There is nobody contracted as a replacement, however Allen Green seems to think he is the worthy one, especially being under Dibella, the same promoter as Taylor. It will be interesting to see what decision Showtime makes. Maybe they will try to pull one of the other current champions into the mix and unify 3 of the four belts. :yep
I have no interest in seeing Taylor in the tournament, in this situatuin I would rather watch anyone else. I think if they could get Pavlik in it wud be great but thts not likely to happen. Green, Bika, - one of a few guys would do
To add credibility to that tournament, Bute should get an invitation. But if he does really well against Andrade, HBO won't let him go anywhere and they'll try to match Pavlik with him in 2010.
i like how a guy can be kod in the last round 2 times in last 2 fights and was winning one and other was competitive against an undefeated guy. how old is JT? 30? guys in the 70s and 80s, and below would have 12 losses and 64 wins....i dount they clammered every loss to retire....thats my biggest gripe is fans telling guys what they need to do with their life..... do you want jermain taylor to tell you to retire from your job at burger king because you still suck after 10 years and only asst manager?
