Froch beat Jermain Taylor, Bute, Pascal, Kessler, Abraham and Groves.

Taylor isn't close to that resume yet.

Frampton isn’t British. Great Britain is an island that includes England, Wales, and Scotland. While Northern Ireland is part of the UK, it’s not part of Great Britain.

See while I don't like froch I respect him but I'm of the view his resume is quite overated in that respect..he fought everyone could around the weight which is admirable..but we're they that good...Pascal got beat by old b hop...Kessler got a win and he was done by the second fight, Abraham wasn't all that above middle, Bute you could say is overrated

now no doubt ATM froch resume is better than Taylor's..but skillwise and eye test wise I'd say Taylor is better than froch,I could be proved very wrong in future..but I always found froch to be extremely cumbersome and to be honest I thought he was lucky to be blessed with gods chin... Amazing will to win ,ability to recover and jab though

If Taylor was a HW what manner of ungodly biblical butchery would he inflict on The Tuscaloser?

He appears to have the talent. Now we need to see how the next few years play out.

I am leaning towards a hard 'yes'.

Is there a problem with your reading comprehension or something? You get all of that from a thread asking whether or not Taylor is the most accomplished British fighter post Calzaghe who retired only a little more than a decade ago? Sounds like you're the one who's being a bit dramatic here. a bit upset about Ramirez's loss? Here here - it's ok buddy.

Looks like someone forgot about the knockout of George Groves in front of 80000 fans at Wembley Stadium.

That goes both ways though dude! Folks can't say '****ing Prograis' as if he's some C+ level fighter, then hold up Indongo as a great win for Crawford; that devalues Crawford's resume at the same time.

    Crawford stopped Indongo in 3
    Prograis stopped Indongo in 2.

Indongo was exposed by BOTH fighters, and is probably only C level at best.

And in terms of proven, I think Prograis proved very little blowing out Indongo. But he proved tons to me by pushing TTT all the way in their FOTY.
    + Chin check. Pass
    + Gut check. Pass

It was small margins and Prograis was coming on strong late against Taylor (who admittedly had a bad eye to contend with from head clash).

The Prograis / Taylor fight told me nearly all I needed to know about both fighters at 140, it was very high quality throughout, adjustments, super fast pace, relentless, will to win. It had everything, and all at very very high quality of boxing.

Up until Taylor, Froch easily has the best resume in the last 30 years - it's better that Calzaghe's IMO, even though I'd take Zags in a wide UD H2H any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Of course, the blemish for Carl is that he lost to both Kessler (close) and Ward (clear).

Taylor is homing in on Carl's resume, but still a wee bit off; whilst I REALLY rate Prograis, I can't in all honesty put him on the level of Ward, which means that to test himself like Froch did, Taylor needs a Crawford/Spence type future HOF level. And he could possibly fall short there, but obviously moving up in weight makes that a clear step up from Froch.

In achievements being Undisputed with 4 belts puts him right in the mix - even Calzaghe or Ward didn't do that @ 168, and considering how dominant they were that really says a lot for what he has achieved.

Personally, I'd like to see him defend, and maybe beat one of the young rising stars coming up from 135 - Teo Lopez for example; everyone used to say that Calzaghe should have fought Pavlik for example ; that would be a pretty close equaivalent for Taylor - if he can still make weight.

Maybe late 22 then move up and try and become a 2 weight champion. There is always a chance Crawford and Spence might have moved up or retired by then (Crawford is 34 now!!), so the risk of not moving up sooner is he misses the biggest names.

But in a few years it's likely that Ortiz and Ennis will be the big names at 147, so still plenty of challenges up there!

    My 2c
