"he had to declare this treatment"

as others in the thread state, I tend to agree. Peterson failing to mention the testostrone treatment he went through just makes him look guilty

trying to hide the fact that he's on synthetic testostrone

He should have reported it, and he has no doubt handled the situation poorly. He should be punished for his actions. HOWEVER..... this is NOTHING like a Margarito situation, or even a EPO/BALCO doping situations. It is much less severe, and it is highly questionable that what Peterson took greatly enhanced his performance against Khan. I am thinking like a 100k, 4 month ban would be proper.

I'm a HUGE Peterson fan but at the end of the day he and his team have caused this.

He should have declared it end of thread.

There is no chance Peterson is innocent! And his story is a bunch of horse****.

I read the first two lines of this bull crap Doctors reasoning for "treating" Lamont Peterson and stopped reading. This guys is what I'd call a complete ****ing joke. Taking Anabolic steriods supresses natural production of sex hormones, including, testosterone. What a lot of athlete's will do to get a perscription/medical excuse to use steriods is inject themselves with steriods and artificially supress there natural testosterone levels. Then they'll have their testosterone levels measured. They'll be low. So their doctor will give them a perscription for testosterone. Its all bull****.

He handled the situation poorly because he's guilty of cheating. End of story.

Agree. This is from the Scene. Interesting

***********.com: If VADA was not involved, a lot of people have asked if this was something that the Nevada Commission would have caught in Peterson's system?

Kizer: Probably not from the facts that I know. His [testosterone] level, by his doctor, was kept under 4 to 1, which is the lowest level used...some use 4 to 1 and some use 6 to 1. Even VADA uses 4 to 1, but they also use this CIR [carbon isotope ratio] test to detect synthetic testosterone regardless of your level and that's what happened here.

My understanding is that his level was 3.77 to 1...and I don't know if that was a purposeful attempt to conceal [his use]*by keeping it under 4 to 1 or not. That's a question for someone else and not to me. But regardless, the CIR was able to catch it without the level being that high.

I just graduated medical school. I made it about 2 lines into this idiot's bull**** drivvel before I had to stop reading. This whole thing is bull****. And this doctor should get practice methods investigated.

Innocent of what? Even if he didn't cheat, he's guilty of being ****ing stupid and failing to work with the commission on something that was obviously going to be a problem down the road.

If a doctor was prescribing it, it would be to bring an individual with low testosterone levels back up to normal levels... not 3X the amount of normal levels

They delibaretly tried hide it. When the A sample came back positive, they denied taking anything, but then the B sample came back positive, he miraculously "remembered" he'd been taking an illegal substance.

4 months? He wouldn't miss a pay check in that time. These guys fight twice a year. So, he misses this one but the 'additional' time is meaningless then.

Him not mentioning that he was taking these pellets makes him guilty.

It's this simple. They tried to hide till they couldn't hide it anymore. Whose to say this excuse is even legit? He and his team hid it!

I drive this clinic every morning and know someone who goes there. It is kind of an alternative treatment center. By my friend he says the Dr is top notch. It isn't a dodgy place.
