Usyk stops Joshua this time out. Will be a brutal one-sided beating. Fury promptly retires, citing he doesn't have anything to prove anymore.
Fury really doesn't. He's only got a year left. After he beats Whyte he should hang them up while he's on top right there with Usyk. I mean yeah he could fight Usyk and i would love to see that fight but he doesn't need to prove anything anymore, he's done enough. Besides Usyk isn't the same. His country got invaded and he's probably seen some sh*t along with the stress alone. Fury schooled Klitschko in one of the best pure boxing displays seen since Nunn vs Tate and destroyed reigning champion Wilder in his comback like how Foreman beat Moorer. Usyk is far more skilled than Fury but Fury is still more skilled than Joshua, bigger, and slicker. If Joshua tried to box with Usyk he'd do the same with Fury and no way does he win that, although it's not as one sided as Usyk/Joshua i guess.
Well plan A from the first fight did not work for AJ and likewise will not work in the rematch so yes the rematch will have to be different, like the misattributed quote goes “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Now plan B to Z might not work but plan A 100% did not and will not work. If AJ is going to lose then i hope he goes out utilising his strengths rather than trying to box a master boxer.
Fury has a lot to prove, specially if you consider his talk. Best in the world, linear right? yet just ducked a big money undisputed fight with Usyk. Before that ducked 100 million undisputed fight with AJ. Brutally ducked Klitchko rematch in the past. Never defended his belts. Only fought 2 top 10 opponents in his entire career. Is facing Dillian White only because he is forced to. Now the situation is forcing him against Usyk or Joshua and he wants to retire, again, the same as before, cant you see the pattern? Pure cowardice. He is just 33, Wlad fought him at 39!!! He WAS linear champion, but when he walked away and relinquished his belts he lost that position. Now he is just an ABC titlist. Never fought the #2 in the division to legitimaze it, as well. The closest thing we have to The HW CHAMPION OF THE WORLD is Aleksander Usyk. I hope this retirement talk is just a ploy to increase his value, as this is his last fight in his contract and he will be a free agent afterwards. He needs to deliver the big fights to the boxing world.
Joshua was clueless against Usyk last time out. Yes I believe he can win it but Usyk is the clear favourite
This was the same rubbish we heard in the first fight. Usyk has one of the best chins in boxing, proven against massive punchers at amateur, semi-pro, and pro levels.
Every fight can be different depending on how they choose to engage, so we won't know until we see what tactics they use. For instance, the first Groves-Froch fight was completely different to the second because Groves took fewer risks and conserved his energy and Froch was more respectful of Groves' power. The Fury-Wilder fights were very different, obviously. Etc. If Usyk comes in the same and AJ thinks he just needs a few more rounds to win, it could be very similar. But if AJ does go for the kill this time, it will change everything. But I'm not sure AJ has it in him to go for the kill anymore, since he's faced the consequences of that in earlier fights and he's not as brave as he makes out.
My view is if AJ loses he will just retire, he has been the A side in negotiations for long time now, so not going to accept the B side money in any future bouts. So i don't see it as bravery to use his natural physical attributes of size and power against Usyk, i see it as absolute necessity if he stands any chance of regaining the belts, as what else does he bring to the table? Controlled use of his power, while protecting his chin.
