Hayes done **** all but make this fight as unlikely to take place as he can. Whilst setting a deadline where he **** off and retire without having to go through with it at all. This site blew up when Haye signed to fight Audley Harrison. What you claim isn't true. The backlash is about everything Haye has done since moving up, every move he's made has been a big "**** you" to boxing fans.

Nobody would rip Haye if he himself hadn't set the bar and expectations so incredibly high.

Haye himself said he "was doing this for Ali, Dempsey and Louis". Haye himself said he's sick of the Klits only fighting handpicked bums. Haye himself said he only fights for glory, not for money. Haye himself said he'd only deliver exciting and memorable fights with tough and hungry opponents.

That all got us excited. All this sounded like the land of milk and honey, like what we all wanted.

The sad truth is Haye is a terrible disappointment once measured by the high standards set by himself through his promises. In his four HW fights he managed to deliver two of the worst and most disgraceful HW title fights in recent history. Just awful.

Again, nobody would rip Haye so badly for what he's delivered in the ring if he himself hadn't promised so much. But he over-promised and under-delivered and utterly disappointed. It is what it is.

 

Give it a break lads. The audley fight was a joke, we all know that, but hardly the worst fight in boxing history. There was more excitement in that 3rd round than most kilt fights, not that that is saying much.

What's the other worst fight in history, valuev I suppose because he wasn't reckless and gung ho Again that 12th round was more exciting than any kilt fight.

It would be fine if the people criticising haye were objective and also considered the kkitschko's short comings but they don't...

They're boring, I can't remember the last time I was excited by any part of one of their fights. They are notorious for their slave contracts, they've basically been able to do WTF they like as there is no competition in the division, they have some competition and someone sparking an interest in hw boxing and they don't like it.

Instead of seeing it as an opportunity they want to play the 'we're the bosses around here game' and **** haye around. Fair enough haye did it to them by pulling out of the first fight but would they have fought for free too? He was in talks with vitali and then decides, you know what i can get a portion of the hw title by fighting valuev with a fairer contract and then rival these guys in negotiations.

If I was the Klitschko's I'd be ecstatic to finally have someone established who most view as a general threat and a genuine name to beat instead of another run of the mill contender that leaves no Mark on my legacy whatsoever. At the end o the day all haye was when he came into the division was another contender, the only difference being he was the best cruiserweight in the world moving up. Now he is much bigger and is a potential legacy fight for the klitschko's, the one thing missing for them...

So why the games? Haye is right, they will be remembered as the guys without that legacy defining fight if they don't fight him. Although I admit he too won't leave much of a Mark without the klitschko fight but they're the ones who have been in a barren division for so long...

They're front runners, would rather be the best of a **** bunch than seek real challenges...
