I can't remember a better card. The main fight itself is probably the most important in boxing with the two highest p4p fighters who are in the same weight class fighting, following a very high quality first fight that was probably a draw.

I suppose for those that haven’t watched boxing for a very long time this card is the best they’ve seen. But for boxing heads who watched in the 80’s and 90’s it’s just a very good card. Where the fighters are from doesn’t trump how good the fighters and the fights are.
Also, the argument that there is going to be some type of bias from old timers about the fights and fighters in their day over the ones today is just stupid. This is still our day, we ain’t dead yet. I want to see greatness still as I’m still a fan of boxing and boxers today. But things either stack up or they don’t.

Not sure if I'd go as far as saying it's the absolute greatest, but it's another incredible card held by the Saudi's. Feels like I've seen this exact thread be made about a good few of these Saudi events

Here was the 'day of reckoning' card in late 2023:
    • Anthony Joshua vs. Otto Wallin
    • Deontay Wilder vs. Joseph Parker
    • Dmitry Bivol vs. Lyndon Arthur for the WBA light heavyweight title
    • Jai Opetaia vs. Ellis Zorro for The Ring cruiserweight title
    • Filip Hrgovic vs. Mark De Mori
    • Daniel Dubois vs. Jarrell Miller
    • Frank Sanchez vs. Junior Fa
    • Arslanbek Makhmudov vs. Agit Kabayel
The card for the current event is still better, IMO.

The top 5 P4P features a Ukrainian brother, a Japanese brother, two Russian brothers, and an American brother

I don't see the issue here His Excellency Turki Alalshikh is going for the top dogs. The big boys. The cream of the crop. KO artists. Exciting fighters. Manly fighters not wimps. All of those top dogs have fought over in the Mecca of boxing Saudi Arabia sans Crawford who fought on a Saudi promoted card in the US and Inoue who is set to do so later this year by all accounts

And everyone knows Brits are the world's fiercest warriors and that we come to fight and put on a show for the fans. Only the Mexican brothers are as fan friendly as us.

From 6-10 we have 3 American brothers, a Mexican brother, and a Japanese brother

But Haney has literally never beaten anyone remotely close to his size and he's only there because they stack the deck with a home ref and three home judges over there and keep robbing foreigners. He clearly lost to a 20lb lighter, six inch shorter reach Ukrainian brother in his own backyard

Clenelo is only there because all throughout his career his judges have literally waved their magic wands to transform his Ls into Ws. His greatest performances are a win and a draw against a brother from Kazakhstan and both of those should be Ls

We also have Twink who whilst talented has shamelessly ducked and avoided the elite fighters at every weight class he's fought in and, like Clenelo has been ever since he got schooled by Bivol, has zero interest in facing the best guys out there and certainly not while they're in their prime.

And both his entitled ass and Clenelo have given His Excellency Turki Alalshikh attitude.

Who can forget this from Twink?

"If they want me they gotta send me something... like 2 Ferraris"

To which His Excellency Turki Alalshikh responded with

"I heard (what) Davis said... I say to him: we will send you two gloves if you want, that's it."

His Excellency pulled rank and said get back in your box little toad

Crawford never gave His Excellency attitude. Neither did The Dosser, Ortiz, or Shakur

The money is in Saudi now and the top American fighters are actually going to have to use their passports and fight on a level playing field for once if they want some of that Saudi money instead of facing foreigners back in the US all the time with home refs and three home judges. Facts

And look at the card. Which fight is the weak link? The one which is most likely to send the fans to sleep? Exactly. Case rested, point proven. Resoundingly.

Even a supposed ''boring'' boxer like Bivol who is not a KO artist is aggressive and throws a ton of punches and doesn't spend half the fight holding like an octopus and throwing 3 punches a round

Hell, he didn't even stink out the show when he was literally facing the most fearsome and destructive puncher in boxing who prior to facing him sported a KO 100%. That was still a good fight and the rematch is the main event, #4 P4P vs #5

Day of Reckoning not as good as Britfest 2025 you say? I'm not so sure about that, but let's do the math: -

AJ - Hero of the British masses & Otto Wallin, a Euro who made a name for himself by taking it to Fury. Plus 1.

Neon Deon Tay - A Big Doodle on a Big Show. Plus 1.

Junior Australian Big Joe Parker - Say no more. Plus 1.

Dmitry Bivol - P4Per on the way up. Plus 1.

Lyndon Arthur - Random Brit I've never heard of. Minus 1.

Filip Hrgovic - Death from behind & the world's pre-eminent rabbit puncher does what he does best. Plus 1.

Mark DeMori - Normally a deduction would apply here but b/c he's Australian, it doesn't. No change to the overall score of 4.

Jai Opetaia - Not just any Australian, one on his way to establishing himself as the best. Plus 2.

Ellis Zorro - No good without his cape. Minus 1.

Triple D on the way up & he's not jumping the Usyk queue. Plus 1.

Big Baby coming off a strong win against Big Daddy. Plus gotta get them American eyeballs. Plus 1.

Frank Sanchez & Junior Fa - Not up to it. Even Junior's status as a Junior Australian doesn't save this one. Minus 1.

Arslanbek Makhmudov & Agit Kabayel - One not up to it (minus 1) balanced by one who remains in contention (plus 1). No change to the overall score.

Overall score when the above math is done - 6 out of 10.

Conclusion - It's official. The numbers don't lie. The 22 February show will be THE BEST TURKI SHOOT EVER.

Makes me want to get back on a plane to Riyadh. After the trip last year for Fury-Usyk I I said never again but damn this is a stacked card.

Feb 2022 will be the best stacked card in boxing history SO FAR but I have a feeling Turki will try and do better down the line.

Boxing is in a very good place right now all thanks to ONE man.
