Lol...at the "principle" argument, this man aside from turning down more money than he's probably made in his entire career, a future title shot, has also burned bridges with GBP and HBO...yeah sounds like a great idea, hope his "principles" support his children and provide a better life for his family. This isn't "principle" it's stubborn stupidity. A principled man would do all he could to provide a better life for his family, and not make shitty decisions based on his foolish pride. I'm a big Broner fan but if the fight doesn't come off its 100% his fault. Escobedo has a right to decline this fight and I have no problem in him doing so. I was really looking forward to this fight and Broner ruined it by being unprofessional. I'm still a Broner fan and he's still a G but he lost a lot of respect from me today.

 

Someone has to make a stand against GBP/Haymon at some point.

If you don't buy into the "principles" argument, perhaps you'll buy into the "health" argument. It's not 3.5 lbs of water we're talking about, but 3.5 lbs of base weight: muscle mass.
