Is the Cotto-Trout fight going to be on PPV or SHO?

Cotto earlier in the week gave the reasoning for why the fight is a "PPV" in Puerto Rico but either the message never reached the masses on the island, they don't care and wanted to trash him anyway or don't understand running a promotional business and using this "PPV" on the island as a "tryout". All of the PR prospects thanked him yesterday for getting them on this fight card to get the exposure and notoriety and getting the chance to get seen. It looks like they got the message more than the people in PR:

The reasoning is that his father wanted him to make Miguel Cotto Promotions grow through the young Puerto Rican prospects and getting them the same type of early career exposure and opportunity that his son gained at the start of his career. The same way PPVs are used to showcase young prospects on undercards and develop future stars is what he wants to do with this PPV. There will be 6 undercard fights featuring young Puerto Rican prospects that will only be broadcast in Puerto Rico and that is his main reasoning for the PPV. He says it is not to fill his pockets, he already gets his piece from the co-promotion with Golden Boy. The money from the PPV goes to the Puerto Rican prospects, to bring more fight cards to Puerto Rico in 2013 and beyond and to attract other Puerto Rican prospects to sign on with MCP and get the opportunity to be featured on possible future card/PPVs, etc.

In 2013, he will have more than 20 fight cards planned. Most will be in Puerto Rico and shown on SoloBoxeo on Telefutura. Others on ShoBox: The New Generation on Showtime. They are also looking to have them broadcast on local channels.

not a very interesting fight. Would have loved to see Canelo vs. Cotto. I am not convinced that Canelo is that good yet.

PR is a protectorate and territory of the US.An interesting dilemna for the locals and the law.I am presuming Showtime regularly delivers it's signal to the Island. If so,the subscribers in PR have a case of breach of contract and fail to deliver.Interesting.:bart
