yes, because he's fighting an average featherfisted 140 lber for a lot less money than he would get for fighting WW Brook

But if Khan is nearly as bad as his haters make him out to be- then shouldn't a guy who can beat Provodnikov be able to give him a fight. :think

he had the opportunity to fight The Special One for 5 million, turned it down

afterwhich he signs to fight a featherfisted 140 lber who was embarrased by Pacquiao in his last outing, and who he will most likely drag up to WW so the fight can happen

ffs, even Bradley is a better option

Algieri is not a bad opponent for Khan but he's not a good one either. It's mediocre IMO. Khan gets more flak for facing Algieri than Pac did, that's backwards.

Pretty good opponent, why do people act like this is Khan's only fight in 2015?
Isn't this happening next month? He'll fight a decent 147 next time.

I think its mediocre to pretty bad. I wish Algieri would have taken on a few guys around his level so him and John David Jackson could have time to iron some problems out and get used to each other. I see him taking a one sided ass-whoopin from Khan, and taking two vicious beatings back to back is never good for a guy.

its a mediocre opponent that he matches up well against who is coming off a very heavy loss.

if he had ran paq close of was still unbeaten it wouldn't be so bad but with so many potentially great fights to be made it seems a bit cheap. Khan has out boxed two decent operators in pretty clinical fashion last two fights now its time to swim with the sharks and see how he does. Beat anyone from Brook upwards and he might have a chance of Pac of May but at the minute hes just waiting and hoping for the call which sucks if your a boxing fan

Its a **** fight but I think its ridiculous how the general response when Pacquiao (who is supposed to be one of the best in the sport) fought him was less negative

To be fair its just an average fight only because Khan looked p4p elite against Alexander in his last fight, so we set him at a much higher standard than most. We want Khan in there with the top elite fighters because thats where he belongs. When Brook-Gavin was announced nobody really expected anything better because we know Brook only fights bums, just look at his history 33 tomato cans so far at the age of 29. He also called out the likes of Thurman, Marquez, Bradley, Maidana etc but chose gavin and he didn't get rediculed as much as Khan did. Brook won't fight anybody with a pulse until he gets a Khan payday and Khan won't fight Brook to give him that payday before Brook takes the long hard route against tough rugged top 10 WW opponents.

He is a very good oponent. The problem is that there is a cottage industry in boxing that denigrates Manny's oponents. Floyd****s are the worst thing to ever happen to boxing. The stupid mother ****ers go as far as to argue that MAB was a shot fighter after he lost to Junior Jones.

There is that, and it those work both ways. You can guarantee if someone's best win was Broner or Berto that fought Pacquiao the Mayweather fanatics would **** on it. But Provodnikov would murder those two in the ring (Algieri's best win) and they know it.
