I see that he promotes Cloud,k9, and alexander... Does he promote any high profile fighters these days? It seems that hes been sorta left out in the cold by top rank, shaw, and dibella...

Does King have any remaining superstars? Or will he be broke?

He was hanging in there until about 2005/2006 because he had always placed alot of interest in the heavyweight division and had most of the top guys. Then the aging Americans got replaced by Eastern Europeans and he never really got in with them, he co-promoted Valuev and Lyakhovich but other than that lost his control on the heavys, and other than that he just had a few guys scattered through the divisions. Because of this he doesn't get the tv dates anymore so his better fighters leave him and he struggles to attract new ones. He might come back but he's well below Top Rank, Goldenboy and probably others like Dibella and Shaw in the pecking order now.

Are you just catching on to this? King hasn't been relevant in years.

He's robbed enough fighters over the years, so I seriously doubt that he'll be going broke before he dies.

I read that most of his fighters left him because they only got to fight once year against **** comp, or against a fighter that was meant to beat them

I liked Don King since as a fan he put on the best fights possible with the best cards. Arum and Delahoya put on a main fight and bad undercard fights.

Never liked him as a man, he clearly ****ed over a lot of fighters. But no denying when he was dominant and he decided to put on a big event it was always filled with quality fighters. Not like todays promoters who have the main event and then a terrible undercard. Never thought I would miss having Don King on top and in control of boxing.

That's because Don King's recruitment tactics are designed to play upon the fear of potentially successful Black Americans, so his game doesn't work on other groups.

:good He murdered two people when he was younger. OK, the first was trying to rob an establishment of his, but he shot the robber in the back. He stomped his second victim to death becasue he was owed six hundred dollars. He must have had a good attorney, because he got off with the lightest version of manslaughter possible. I think he served less than 4 years.

He knew damn well that Ali had a "hole" in the membrane that seperates brain fron skull, but tried to get in on the promotion of the fight against Berbick anyway.

Mike Tyson calls him a "reptillian mthr fckr"

    Good riddance is right :deal

Part of it has to do with the fact that he never seemed to branch out as well outside of the heavyweight division like the other promoters, and the fact that his fighters are severely inactive fighting once a year.
