    for a heavybag??
I have a punching dummy that weighs about 65-70 pounds.
is it a adequate replacement/sub for an authentic heavy bag?

My trainer told me that the heavy bag is always meant to be hit while it moves
and to keep it moving. If the dummy dont move then it should not replace the heavy bag.But its still good for target practice.

I assume you are talking about one of the BOB type of things, although at that weight you may spend just as much time picking it up off the floor as you do punching it. They are not a replacement but better than no bag at all. Ok for your accuracy and cardio I guess.
