I honestly don't care too much either way about who gets in or doesn't. It's absolutely true that Mancini and McGuigan aren't as accomplished or talented as others who have to date been forsaken. Comparing it to the baseball or football Hall is dicey because by definition, if you've made it to the point in those sports to where you're influencing the writers and fans enough to warrant inclusion, you have to have been really, really good. You have to actually make the team first, THEN people can start talking about you. Unlike boxing, where champs and records and stats and things can be padded, real challenges avoided but trinket belts still won, still in the public eye to garner all the publicity and money while operating far more in smoke and mirrors than actual content. You can create your own legend far easier there as opposed to team sports. This is why fewer people ***** about the baseball or football Hall of Fame. There is a far more definable path to "greatness."

Well, it is a little significant. Guys had to do something to get in there. Gatti getting in was questionable. I get it and I do not. Mancini? That is popularity. But in reality, most guys in there were exceptional. When they were not we mention it. And the first ballot guys elected into the Hall were the great ones usually.
