Is The IBO A "Proper" Recognised Strap??

WHO matters. Belts don't mean anything. Slightly fun way of showing (sometimes) that you fought some guys who paid the right guys to be ranked high enough to make you look good. And then, ultimately, it is WHO you fought.

IBO has a couple great and a couple good/decent champs but they also have vacancies and some blah...

 

Boxrec advantage is that they don't have champions

WBC imo has the most history...Undisputed today means you need to win the 4 major belts ...a very difficult task...which is worth it...although it will be very high risk financially (more fees & dangerous opposition) :boxer

Big ballers who want to make a name for themselves in boxing as bigtime promoters can do this...as an investment in their status...opposed to short sighted profit

 

The fight was changed to a WBA international MW title 6 days before him and Medley were going to fight for the vacant IBO 154 title. Mundine's manager says it was because he didn't like the way the IBO operated. The general consensus in Australia is he couldn't make weight.
Go to their website and type no mandatories in search.
