The IBO is not a real world title. If a man turns pro and retires with an IBO strap he would not be considered a legit world champ.

Pac beat Hatton for the Linear title in which Hatton won against Kostya Tszyu.

Which is exactly what I believe will happen!

We don't have a true champion at heavyweight now, and I have no reason to believe we will have one in 10 years, barring a fluke.

In fact at one time we had 3 WBC HW "champs" ("Normal" champ Oleg Maskaev, Interim Champ Sam Peter and Emirtus Champ Vitali Klitschko. At the moment he have 2 WBA HW champs (Champion in Recess Ruslan Chagaev and "Normal" Champ Nikolay Valuev) this ****'s getting out of hand...

    The WBF, yes.

But technically, he was a world champion.

Adamek doesnt own an IBo belt , according to their site its vacant , and thats very strange cuz if i remember well Banks had it before he got KNocked the fuk out ,

That means IBO sux ,Boxers show it cuz it looks nice and its obviously more attractive if u wear 1 more belt at a time ,

But it looks like Micheal Buffer already recognized it By Yelling: He's a 3 time Worldchampion" About ricky hatton..... i was like wtf? or it was about Wbu?

Hatton had the WBU for years, yes.

It is also ridiculous when a fighter like Holyfield is credited with the honor of Breaking Ali's record and becoming a 5 time champion.

The IBO ratings are important and prestigious. As for the title?
