Is the judges decision "draw" better than the decision that Beterbiev won?

Yes Often a draw seems unsatisfactory but in this case they were so evenly matched that would have been the best result.

 

Upon reflection I think Beterbiev was the rightful winner of that fight.. it looked like he broke Bivols will to win. Dmitry was neutered that night.

 

Beterbiev won 115-113 on my card, but it could have gone either way, so the draw would be fair. But it was funny to see Bivol fanboys screaming robbery exposing themselves as people who DKSAB.

 

In theory the judges job is to prevent a draw even if that was the right call. They are there to give you a winner and a loser even if the fight was close as nails.

In a title unification bout especially a draw is basically punting this responsibility to a different set of judges in a rematch.

 

I had it a draw the first time I watched it. I had it Beterbiev 7-5 the 2nd time
