Is the KD in round 12 making Chavez Jr. demand for the rematch?

93% of the fight completely dominated. 1 good knockdown for being careless at the beginning of round 12 and Sergio still recovered completely (minus his knee) and finished the fight throwing his own bombs back.

I don't need to see any rematch unless Jr. can earn it by beating another top ranked guy or two.

That KD is the only reason why a rematch is even talked about. That KD saved Chavez Jr. If it wasnt because of that KD, everyone would be attacking Jr (Fans, media, etc.)

That knockdown guaranteed drama in the buildup to a rematch as well as the broadcast of a rematch. Drama = Dollars.

Guys around my office who rarely watch boxing, or haven't in years, read the Sunday paper and youtubed the last round with me. The first question asked was "so are they going to rematch?" and the "if he starts earlier" talk got going.

Add a bunch of those type buys to the 400k who bought the first one and you have some serious money.

Not to mention the add on fans that didnt buy because of the Canelo fight. Serious extra cash to be made here.

Agreed. I work in sales and have done marketing. This is a dream product: it has established demand and brand name recognition. Add in the fans you talked about and it could double the sales of the first fight.
