He's one of the best offensive Boxers ever. He's very effective with his offense and he does have the ability to throw every type of punches. But in terms of offense strategies, he's very limited. For instance, there are several Boxers that can fight backing up, in the pocket, on the outside, utilize intelligent pressure, and cutting the ring off. Manny's offense is very effective in its own way, but he doesn't demonstrate several offense strategies aspects to be considered as the best all-around offensive Boxer in Boxing today.

I dont know, I feel his ring iq when it comes to offense is underrated, he did figure out cotto and countered him also tricked him into attacking when he appeared to take a breather to drop him. also did this in several other fights
He has shown great combo's as well in fights, hit and move away style.
The only thing you could argue for is that he should cut of the ring better or show more versatility vs boxers that are on the backfoot and looking to counter him or just run away.
He is definitely the best offensive boxer, but gamboa is also doing well.

Once Pacquiao gets his offense going, there isn't anyone better in the sport offensively.

Greatest offensive fighter of the past quarter century, or so, imo. He's not strategically versatile with it, like, say, Duran, but as far as having one style, his is right beastly one. It's all over the place. Both hands, contrary to those that don't pay attention and think he's all lefts. All angles, hooks, crosses, straights, uppercuts. He's a machine. It's so fast and furious when he takes off, you either have to be a real technician or a track star to take the steam off of it.

That he's able to tee off with power shots so quickly as soon as his feet touch down, or even not, and they're moving all the time, shows he's a rare kind of athlete in the sport. I figure Mayweather would be perfect to blunt his offense inside, mid-range or outside, but Mayweather is, at worst, the second best defensive fighter of the past quarter century or so, so, talk about fighting fire with ice. :hey

You can argue about "complete" because there are more versatile offensive fighters out there, like Allan Green, etc.

I always thought Floyd was pretty "offensive" with his remarks, so is Chisora and Haye (with his t-shirts, and insults for example) before he retired.

Never heard Pac say anything that can be classified as "offensive" :bart

Pac's disgustingly racist imitation of the Scots are far worse than Money's imitation of Pinoys. :bart

great offensive fighter. he needs his defence to get flowing for his offence to go as well though, as all fighters are, but he also can fight against a defensive fighter, and an offensive fighter, any style- save for marquez, he seems to get his punches off and in high rate. thats the thing that distinguishes him in my opinion. as flawed as his other aspects are, and as unfashionable as it is to like pacquiao this week, he :
1: has amazing workrate that he maintains for 12
2: amazing output of speed and power for 12
3: angles and unconventional punches, combos, and leads.

if anything his lack of technique and fundamentals early on- may have aided in his unconventional offensive style and creativity later on. everybody s ragging on him as i said, but you cant take away the fact that this is a tiny man who makes much larger men cover up and retreat. we havent seen that much in this sport of over 100 years. thats awesome offence.

Also, to be the most "complete" offensively you should be able to switch your style up and fight according to the opponent.

I do not believe Pac able to fight and dominate when he is figured out and the other boxer has his first plan's number.

I hate to say this but if he was an offensively complete fighter it should not, after 3 fights, still be up in the air when it comes to JMM....i can see the first fight being close...but fights 2 and 3 he should have made some seperation....IF HE WAS AS COMPLETE an offensive fighter as some are saying.

I still feel he is probaly one of the most effective offensive fighters i have seen in awhile just not the most complete.
