I've seen this workout regimen dozens of times in the internet

Daily Regimen (7 days a week):

5 AM: Get up and go for a 3 mile jog

6 AM: Come back home, shower, and go back to bed

10 AM wake up: Eat oatmeal

12 PM: Do ring work (10 rounds of sparring)

2 PM: Have another meal (steak and pasta with fruit juice)

3 PM: More ring work and 60 mins on the exercise bike

    5 PM: 2000 sit-ups, 500-800 dips, 500 press-ups, 500 shrugs with a 30kg barbell, and 10 mins of neck exercises

7 PM: Steak and pasta meal with fruit juice

8 PM: Another 30 minutes on the exercise bike then watch TV and go to bed

Is this legit? did Mike ever confirmed that this was his training?

There's nobody on the planet who can do thousands of reps of calisthenics every day, followed by hours of sparring and miles of running seven days a week over a long period of time without burning themselves out.

Plus, how many different clips are there of Cus and Tyson on the pads? Where'd he find time for all of them with this training?

Not to mention, the calisthenics routine is far from great for boxing, or really anything except conditioning. Don't get me wrong, doing thousands of sit-ups, hundreds of dips and press-ups, then throwing in some shrugs and neck work will make you look good over time, but by the time you can do that many of them every day, you already look great. For a boxer, it's definitely more of a hindrance than a benefit.

I doubt it's real. Maybe he did it once or something and some journalist ran with it.

Yeah, it always looked way over the top for me as well. I think it was @NoNeck who claimed it was a bit of a hoax.

With that said, Tyson without a doubt worked like an animal in those early years. Holyfield said Tyson was the only who worked harder than even him.

But that routine is just not of this world.

Many - but not all - of these things are what someone heard, or said; Bruce Lee’s workouts are prime examples where he’s credited with doing everything short of levitation. Marciano is another, sometimes heatedly debated on this forum.

When the numbers and exercises start reaching stratospheric levels, take them with a grain of salt or three. Maybe he did it, but maybe he didn’t. After a certain point, you start to realize most fighters train about the same, with variations depending on who’s training them.

The stories of Marciano's training are way, way more fantastic than contemprorary news reports about them. Legends grow with time.

No this was debunked years ago. There was a similar routine I came across a couple of years ago that involved........
    Press ups
    Sit ups
    Bodyweight squats
    Bench Dips
    Weighted Shrugs

All done in sets of 50 repeatedly. Don't know if this is any more accurate though.

Not sure if I should take credit or say I have no recollection of saying that.

I definitely remember the one guy who thoroughly debunked Marciano’s routine.

You'd have to be Goku to do all that and not be crippled at the end of it.

FFS this got me as a young teenager. A forum member here made it and it’s become internet lore even “big time” fitness YouTubers make videos on it explaining the genius or methodology behind it.

Maybe he meant it took him seven days to accomplish all that.

    That's so funny

And it really shows most don't have a clue what they're on about. It'd be absolutely terrible for virtually anyone. Nobody can do it, and if you're good enough to do it, you're too good to get anything out of it.

There are ways for athletes to train, and boxers are actually one of the athletes which can benefit the most from it. It bears no resemblance whatsoever with these ridiculous programs.
