I was just wondering about this seeing as how fruit sugar (fructose) is added to and maes up most of the sugar content of soda's cakes and some other stuff. Is sugar still sugar? Or does the source really matter?
no they are not bad for you? so they are good? thxs Its a stupid question but logicly made sence to me to ask
Eating the fruit itself is fine, plenty of health benefits and limited amounts of sugar unless you consume it in excessive amounts. But people should be concerned about how much fructose they consume as it is becoming the sweetener of choice by many food manufacturers. While fructose does not raise blood sugar levels like glucose it does have other harmful effects as it has been closely linked to obesity, heart disease and stroke due to an increase of triglycerides as a part of it's metabolism by the body.
Yes this is a good question. Sugar is sugar. And if you are planning on eating only fruit which is loaded with sugar, get this, it does the same thing as all sugars do, they make you fat.
Fruit does not make you fat. Sugars contained in fruit do not make you fat. Anyone who says otherwise, is an absolute idiot.
Sources? Both of you mae valid points imo. If excess calories from healthy food and junk food both make you gain weight. Why would fruit sugar not do all the bad things other sugars do to you? However fruit is good for you and man made foods are mostly bad where as natural foods are good for you and fruit is a natural food.
What part that fructose is the sugar used in most soda's and sweets/ pastries? Internet and the list of ingrediants on them
