Is the new sky sports boxing advert a swipe at boxnation?!

  1. Why the sarcastic faces?

Boxing fans should be concerned with great match-making, nothing else.

Boxnation won't be around in a year or so it simply isn't sustainable

I wish people would stop saying this, you will still need SKY to get boxnation, the Skysports channels dont just show boxing. So I assume you mean you are going to cancel your skysports subscription so cancelling all sports not just boxing?

Primetime is the home of boxing

  6. I very much doubt Sky give a **** about Boxnation tbh, in reality most people who subscribe will be getting it on top of there Sky sports subscription anyway and very few at all will be canceling Sky sports to subscribe to boxnation

It’s not Frank making any programming decisions. He’s an investor with a guarantee that he can broadcast his shows on the channel. He’s the big name to get the finance and has contacts the station can use.

I think the pay access is poorly timed under the circumstances (and I still haven’t seen confirmed details of the pricing for the internet service), but let’s give it time. They’ve got a lot of bugs to iron out. Running a new TV station is a long-term commitment if you want profit. Sky made a loss for nearly a decade before it got to its current position.

Its a bit like the insurance comparision websites at the mo, there are six maybe more tv channels showing regular boxing at the moment, unsustainable, soon we will be left with a meerkat and a fat tenor at the most.
