Is the Phillipines the new Mexico?

P.R. has more champ per person ratio than any other country, Cuba dominates amateur boxing but can't leave Cuba. U.S. has alot of people so of course more champs.

 

Is the Philippines the new Mexico? That I don't know. But I heard a rumor that all Taco Bell restaurants in the U.S. are being shut down and replaced with "Dog on a Stick Shack".

 

I can't believe that some are ready to accept Mayol as a 'champ'.
The fight should've been a no contest.

Filipino by the Jus Sanguinis principle (which the Philippines, China, et al uses)

American by the Jus Soli principle (which the US, Mexico, et al uses)

Just saying that someone saying BV is Filipino while another saying he's American--are both actually right.

 

True. But pac is fighting in an era where smaller weight classes gets a lot more attention. I remember when Luisito "lindol" espinoza and gerry penalosa were dominant champs in feather and bantamweight, they hardly got any publicity or hype. it's not till hamed, barrera and morales when they smaller weight classes had gotten good attention. By the time that happened, espinoza was out of the picture cause he had been cheated and lost his belt. oh well

 

But that doesn't make the Phillipines a power house.... like you said, PAC is fighting in the era.

 

they have something in commcon both their countries suck lol they can both fight each other while puerto rico takes on cuba...
