I mean things are like near dead about this fight. Nil excitement.

There's hardly a mention in general sports media beyond the indirect connection to Hayden Penattaire and there is just the barest coverage in boxing media, with practically no analysis.

Here on ESB, the only thing that has generated any excitement at all is Chef's cooking.

    What say you?

(Except for some Germans of course :D)

I was hoping for the Povetkin fight to happen, was ready to buy tickets. Then they announced it was going to be Pianeta. Didn't quite do it for me, unexciting matchup IMO.

No one knows how Pianeta is, and the fight is taking place the same day as the Mayweather fight. We all know what's going to happen in that fight. Wlad is going to jab the **** out of Pianeta and then knock him the **** out in the mid to late rounds, the end. This will be a nice, easy payday Wlad and he can come back for a big fight in the fall.

    Why would it generate exceitement??

Its going to be another easy defence for Wlad.

Not Wlads fault hes on another level at the moment.

the Povetkin fight might generate some interest.

Even then I expect Wlad to coast it.

Prospects and semi retired guys are more prolific than this mope.
He's a joke to boxing and everybody will be happy when he throws in the towel.

    Povetkin generates interest with me.

Though they might not be ready, the fights that generate more interest for me are Pulev, Fury and Wilder. Hell, I'd even be intested in Malek Scott, Perez and Mansour. Even Solis.

Person at KMG who thought this would be interesting should be fired. Same for RTL.

Pianeta has better resume than Price or Fury. Talking about hype.

Dzemski said they have a cool plan. The last time Dzemski said this was when Stieglitz ****ed Abraham up:lol:

Pianeta will give Wladimir a harder fight than Wach. He has more skills than Wach is a Southpaw has a good guard and also a good chin (never hurt or down). Also he sparred with Wladimir wich is also good to have. Only problem for Pianeta will be his low workrate and that he likes to hide out behind his guard and dont moves very well around the ring. Yet if he puts combinations together he can be pretty fast. I dont excpect Pianeta to give Wladimir any big problems, but again when was the last time Wladimir had big problems?
Some people here say Pianeta is a bum. He CLEARLY is not a bum.
