cause if it is Floyd is A 10 TIME WORLD CHAMPION.hell the count it as a world title for manny.why not floyd?and if they are counting the IBO for Manny at 140 why not count it for Floyd at 147?
The Ring title is historically more significant than any sanctioning body trinket. There was a time when the NBA (now WBA) and NYSAC (merged into WBC in the 60s) were the only two sanctioning bodies, having a predominantly unified World Champion. Occasionally splintered and quickly unified again.
Personally take more stock in who the Ring has as Champ than any other organisation. But now that the Ring is owned by Goldenboy, they are no longer neutral
Oscar Delahoya and Goldenboy does not manipulate the Ring rankings. There is a panel for the Ring Magazine from all different places in the world and they all vote on rankings and everything else fair and square. The Ring champ is the champ
Ring ratings can't be bought like the ABC's, no interim/emeritus/recess/paper versions of the belt and it can only be won or lost in the ring. It's not a world title, but it's the most legit.
Historically significant. It was a symbolic title, but recently The Ring changed it's rules and now they can strip inactive champions or other ones that fight tomato cans.
True man, the alphabet bunch each have their own agendas. This **** with interim, gold, diamond etc is ****ing laughable and just another justification for more sanctioing fees.
When talking about the 'rated opposition' a fighter fought and beat over his career, I'm sure as **** not referring to the trinket ratings and their **** "mandatories", some of which would be nowhere close to the top ten of their own division.
