The ring belt, THEE belt, that one that makes you THEE champion of the division? I don't see why not since it's taking place within the MW limit besides the stupid catch weight, BUT since everyone is making such a big deal about this alphabet WBC belt I am starting to question if it's on the line because of the catch weight. These alphabet belts are a joke, the ring is the real belt.

There's a video on the Scene with Oscar all ****ed off saying how it's everyone's dream to fight for the middleweight championship, and now somehow Cotto has robbed Canelo of that because he dropped the alphabet belt. I know it's just DLH and he is always mad about something, but still.

I thought so....therefore I don't see all this fuss about the WBC belt. Even though it is on the line for Canelo still.

The ring belt is on the line for two guys who have never fought at the full middleweight limit whilst the division has a p4p rated wrecking ball smashing out anyone willing to face him in it who 160 is frozen out.

Boxing in 2015 ladies and gentleman...

Sugar Ray Robinson beat LaMotta and Turpin for the Middleweight title and defended against Turpin, Graziano and Olson, and didn't weigh 158 pounds for any of them ... ON the DAY of the fight.

Marvin Hagler weighed 157 defending against Duran and Hamsho, and 158 defending against Leonard.

These two guys are actually "closer" to real middleweights in history than guys who couldn't walk a straight line because they're so dried out trying making 160 ... and then swelling back up to light heavy or cruiser by the first bell.

Light heavyweights and cruiserweights fighting for middleweight belts is typically boxing in 2015 ... ladies and gentleman.

I'd take this as a valid point if Canelo didn't balloon up so much post weigh in. He's a terrible example as he enters the ring at LHW on fight night.

De La Hoya has no good fighters left because he is a ****, so he's trying to cash in on anyone else he can.

It has been that way for years my friend. A champion refusing to face a ko artist is nothing new.
