I was thinking about that recently. Not that he's going to fight Hopkins but Hopkins is with GBP. Therefore, they dont wanna announce a Floyd fight now because it would completely overshadow the Hopkins-Dawson fight and maybe even hurt the sales. Not to mention we all know that Hopkins can be a diva and already got upset 1 time when GBP acted like they were showing favortism to Floyd.

It reminded me of Deathrow back in the day when they had alot of top people but when Suge got Pac, he wasnt worried about Snoop or anyone else anymore. Thats how guys like Hopkins, JMM, & Shane felt GBP was doing with Floyd and they are going to try to avoid that this time. Thats why they will probably wait until about a week or so after the Hopkins fight to announce Floyd-Sergio.

Thats nothing but a guess on my part though and it still might not even be a fight but Sergio keeps talking about it, they keep saying 15 days, Hopkins fights around that time, and we know that both Hopkins & Sergio said that there is no fight between them. I think GBP just doesnt want to undercut the Hopkins fight and wants to make any big announcments afterwards. Now if Pac was fighting on October 15th then they might would make it now.........lol

Hell no! Floyd is not fighting Sergio. Sergio's big fight will be against some clown, unfourtanately. There aren't any big names other than Pac/Floyd/Cotto and they aren't willing to fight Sergio. The others will be good fights i.e. Pirog, Bute, Ward, Froch, Abraham but nothing "BIG" as Sergio and his team are claiming to be.
