Is the Super Six becoming the Super Fix?

There are 2 rounds left before the final 4 fighters. The tournament is great for boxing. Froch & Ward won; I don't have a problem with that.

 

The only questionable decision was the Froch/Dirrell fight.

What other controversy was there?

Ward clearly won. IMO the head-butts were naughty, not controversial.

 

People call "fix" very easily and with no apparent reason. This tournament is great for the sport, despite the occasional controvery (Froch/Dirrell).

 

What does that mean? Of course he had to fight to get a fair shake. But he got his ass kicked. I have always felt that Kessler was extremely overrated. As someone else said, his marquee win was a loss to Calzaghe (also overrated).

 

I think that Dirrell got robbed. Overall its been a good tourney though.

 

I dont think that Cal. had anything to do with his domination of Kessler.

 

Tournament is good for boxing.

Froch vs Dirrel was close and it went to the champ! Big deal, no robbery.

Ward vs Kessler had some naughty moments but in truth was a one sided fight!

Taylor vs Abrahams was a good tussle with a high light reel KO.

How the hell is that the Super Fix

dirrell got ****ed but it is to be expected in england...I still think it is great for the sport...kessler got beat easy

 

This tournament is just what boxing needs and I think there should be more with other weight classes.
They could have a number one contender tournament in which the winner gets a guaranteed shot at the champion.

 

Good post. One little objection about the Froch/Dirrell fight (no "robbery", but I think Dirrell won it), but other than that I completely agree.

 

Thats fine. Not got a problem with people feeling Dirrel won. If he did it was only by a round. People on here going on about how Dirrel won by 4 rounds just make themselves look silly!

I personally had it by two to Froch. I was at the fight and that was how I scored it. When I watched it back home I scored it the same though I believe I flipped two of the rounds.

At the end of the day when a fight is close you know the Champ is gonna get the benefit of the doubt. I don't really know why people are moaning. If Dirrel had turned up to fight, from what I saw he would have had a chance.
