most know that he could beat all these welterweights..but most just want him to prove it..

but the problem is there's only ONE fighter people can really blame him of avoiding and that's cotto.

I saw an interview with Floyd from like 05/06 where they blamed him of ducking the 4 or 5 fighters that he went onto BEAT in the next 2 years. they just make new lists. He is held to HUGE standards it's ridiculous.

:huhFloyd had a good fight with him but Augustus is a journeyman. Beating him wouldn't help his resume.

Still a journeyman. You do have a point with Genero, Castillo second fight, Corrales, and Manfredy but not with Augustus.

Shane is still the man at WW right now. If he beats Shane, then definitely he's an atg no doubt. But if he loses, he is just that fraud as most fans think he is.

What he did at the lower weights no doubt is very impressive. But he was at welter at a time when it was packed with A-level fighters but he chose to retire, and now that he's back, he still has to fight any of them. Signing a fight with Shane will earn him a lot of fans' respect, whatever the outcome would be.

    Univresal take on Floyd? Probably:
    * Great talent - one of the best
    * Barely defended a belt since leaving 130
    * Sadley refused to take on the top guys of most divisions he fought in

Huh? His first fight at welter was in late 05. Then he beat Judah, then Baldomir who was top rated, then moved UP to fight DLH, then fought Hatton who people said he was ducking, then he comes back and attempts to fight Pacman, now fighting Mosley. Who else should he have fought besides cotto?

I'll tip my hat off to him if he fights Shane. He's still great if he loses but it would look bad for Floyd to lose to the first legit WW he has fought:verysad. I sense a rematch if he does lose though.

Baldomir sure was a champ, but top rated? Hatton moved up.

Margo repeatedly called him, but was ignored. Let me know if the Shane fight gets signed and finalized, then I'll give him some respect, more if he beats Shane. Shane by KO.

True. Holmes beat Ali but that does not mean Holmes is overall better than Ali. Ali was a shell of his former self. The same with Khan-MAB.

Yeah he was, at the time. And yeah Margo called him but what could he do, he retired 07 after fighting some of the best, when he comes back, Margo is banned.

And why do people still think he didn't want to fight Shane. I've seen numerous interviews with May calling out Shane, and in 07 Shane doing interviews saying he wasnt sure about fighting him.
