I just havent seen anything good about this title for ten years now. It is so corrupt. They make the worst title fights out there and con the fans. Great example Haye vs A Farce Valuev , Ruiz, Chagaev, Haye I wish roy jones stay at HW and had a couple fight. Valuev fights guys like owen beck and barret for his title was just sad. The guy was brutal, lost to a 47 years old holyfeild. Holy got robbed. The crows was booing when Valuev was rasing his arm. What a bum. HIs fight was all brutal. I can go on and on and on. But Chagaev ruiz Valuev Haye make this title into a joke, with jokes fight year in and year out. It got sickning and when haye becomes champ in a fight he lost. You think he could do good but he turns into a joke with a paper title just like the rest of them did. Remember chagaev vs skelton? It was like it didnt happen! cant even find it. I think the WBA Heavy title is Garbage for 10 years now. It really is a shame.:deal When guys like ali, foreman, frazier,tyson,holy,bowe, lewwis, liston, louis, rocky m, schemling etc... These guys are real HW champs. They thrilled us for decades and make us become boxing fans. These Boxers are the real warriors in the sport. Legends. the WBA has been on a rabid cash grab for decades. They're a low credibility org as far as the big four go, and they're interim is absolutely meaningless because it's not a real interim. At least they haven't gone to making up titles like "Silver" and "Diamond".
The WBA became worthless when they brought in their Super champ, Interim champ rubbish. Quickly following is the WBC now with their Emeritus champ crap, silver champion and diamand belts. Stripping Martinez by making him Emeritus champ, awarding Zbik the belt without a fight, with his first defence to be against Chavez Jr..can't make a bigger mockery of the sport. How the hell was it allowed to come to this? The WBA have three champs in almost every division and now the WBC are going to do the same. It's enough to make you not want to follow the sport any more, it's become one big joke.
