is their proof that Margarito cheated against Cotto?

I've just read an article in the Ring that states the main reason his return to a US ring was put on hold was because the AG's office in California is believed to have evidence that Margocheato used loaded gloves against Cotto.

If he (Margocheato) goes back to California to apply for a licence he may face further questions that is going to make things even worse for the cheat.

has anyone got more info on this?

I know the head of the commission is an ex-boxer and does not believe Margocheato's explanation and I know Cotto's father is 100% convinced that illegal wraps were worn against his son.

There is proof which is why there was a trial and he was convicted of cheating and had his license suspended.

No its all speculation...Sad but true because I just dont understand why he'll all of a sudden start cheating against Mosley without trying to gain an edge in the biggest fight of his life in Cotto.

Me personally, I dont talk about the Cotto fight because I cant prove it so its pointless IMO.

No there's not, everything is speculation and false accusations can lead to defamation lawsuits just like in Pacquiao's case. As far as opposing trainers and state athletic commission officials were concerned, they found everything legal and according to the rules in every other fight.

They're not going to be able to do anything given that the refs ok'd Margo to fight after they inspected the wraps I'm guessing. There's no proof for that fight anyways, especially if they don't allow the photos in question.

John Frierson is now the chair of the California Commission and he argued against Plast-a-rito's lawyer's claims that only his trainer is guilty.

Then again the article is right enough - if the inspectors had been quick enough both would and should have been arrested after the Mosley fight.

I really hope Cotto discards his thoughts of not giving Cheato another pay day and knock the living shite out of him.

If not Cotto then my fellow Brit Ryan Rhodes...hopefully!! :bbb

Nevada supplies the gauze so its not likely that he had plaster paris in the fight with Cotto, However there is a picture of him after the fight that does raise questions.
Maybe not plaster paris but there is clearly tape over his knuckles which is illegal and can have similar effects that plaster paris does have.
when you put tape over the knuckle pad it becomes more compact and its like a cast... I wouldnt be shocked to learn that he may have stacked as well.... the pictures do show tape over the knuckle area but it also looks as if they had stacked while making that knuckle pad....

Boxers often break bones in their hands even through the gloves as the impact of the punch landing on the opponent's face/body/gloves/hands has the same impact on the throwing hand. Knucles getting bruised is nothing unusual in a boxing ring, and is no evidence of any wrongdoing.
