Ok, here are some more for you guys. First up is a true one punch KO from Jimmy Thunder, you're going to have to wait for the slow motion replay at 1:25. (2:25) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Agq2txcLJqU[/ame] Alexis Arguello is the master of the one punch shot. First here's one of my all time favorite KOs against Kevin Rooney at 8:30: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vd30SKv1d_o[/ame] Here Costello actually manages to get up from a perfectly timed Arguello shot, but they might as well have stopped the fight right then. 3:50 [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gCSw9emh3k[/ame]
This was not a shock. Moorer had a weak chin. Hearns vs. Duran was much better, although Hearns/Duran was not one punch really, but the last punch was great.
On HBO's Legendary Nights program, that's what Jim Lampley says Moorer told him, that Moorer was out on his feet before the final punch landed because of a couple of shots he took earlier in the round. And although the Foreman shot doesn't look like anything special, I read in Atlas' biography that Moorer mouthpiece was split and a couple of his teeth had been put right into his lip from the punches. Good call. :good (6:00) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6_PTvPPW3Q[/ame]
Anyone else get a chill down the spine when they hear Buffer announcing "and once again, the heavyweight champion of the world"
Oh yeah, Jimmy Thunder was awesome alright. Looking at the Foreman one again, watching it when it happened I never really noticed Foreman was hurting Moorer for most of that round. Knocking him back plenty of times with right hands. Also, sadly, Foreman in that fight is in better shape than a lot of young guys fighting for the title now......
Some great ones on here :good [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTir9JHXTrg[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YYZd9k6Nyw[/ame] Some nice sportsmanship here too
