Is there a bigger "One Hit Wonder" in boxing history than Buster Douglas?

Tarver beat one great fighter but had a bunch of solid wins over other LHW contenders/titlists before and after Jones so I don't think he qualifies.

Douglas was a contender for a few years before Tyson and at least did have some decent scalps on his resume before Tyson. Greg Page (one fight removed from being a HW beltholder himself), Oliver McCall, Trevor Berbick. But definitely nothing even close to the Tyson win.

Keith Mullings, now he didn't have any wins of note against any contenders before beating Terry Norris (a faded version) for the JMW title. Unimpressive record going in, not considered a contender.

it was so lucky he easily beat him the third time and in some opinions beat him the first time. on the thread it is buster on grounds of tysons invincable stature at time , there have been others like l,spinks but ali not near prime ,or andrew lewis ko james page for ww title only to be wiped out by mayorga an fall of boxing map ,imamu mayfield wins cruiserweight title only to be smashed by king arthur in first defense an never challenge agin all pretty much one hit wonders with one great boxing accoplishment but not near historicly significent interms of who they beat

I like Rahman a lot, but he def comes to mind. At least Rahman had adecent career. He wasn'y some 30-13 club fighter who KO'd the HW champ. He was 34-2 when he fought Lewis.

  4. He managed to turn that one win into a video game.

Bent had a brain injury and was fainting in practice prior to this fight. He was lucky he didn't take a sustained beating during the fight. He quit just in time.

Douglas was the most disappointing one hit wonder because he had so much potential. He could have been very good if he had a fighting heart. He just cashed in and didn't bother to get up in the Holyfield fight. He quit against Tucker. He had so much skill, but he was a dog.
