Is There a Classic Boxer of the Same Ilk as OJ Simpson?

    I'd have to say yes, and his name is Tyson.

    Tyson ruined everything he ever accomplished in boxing.. Just like OJ Simpson ruined everything he ever accomplished as an American Football player.

    Anyway, I don't really consider Tyson a Classic boxer, but he is more classic than some of the stuff posted in this section, so the post seems to fit.

    Though Tyson might be compared to OJ in this thread, Tyson
    was convicted on MUCH weaker evidence, whereas OJ was
    acquitted on stronger evidence. Go figure!!!

    Tyson seems to be self-destructive and somewhat confused,
    while OJ is just an egotistical guy who really only seems to
    be concerned with # 1.

    Tyson and Sonny Liston seem to get a really bad rap and are/were
    defiled by the media, while OJ is still loved by some of his fans.

    I wouldn't consider him a classic....but Jo-El Scott-check him out on Wikipedia...
