    And vice versa.

I'll throw out some names for the board to ponder:
    Duran
    Napoles
    Pryor
    Pacquiao
    Whitaker
    Gavilan
    Forrest

    Napoles beats both.
Chavez beats Duran but Duran beats Mayweather.
Pryor loses to both? Or beats Mayweather.
    Pac loses to both.
    Whitaker- pass
    Gav- pass
Maybe Forrest beats Chavez and loses to Floyd?

    Most obviously, Canelo Alvarez.

    But the list is long.

Chavez beats Duran in a drinking contest, maybe. Sure AF not in a fight.

How in the world is Chavez gonna beat Duran when Duran was better at virtually everything?

A number of fighters at 147 and up

I’d favor Floyd over Arguello, and lean towards Arguello over Chavez

Not sure about Mosley. A fight between Floyd and Mosley at 135 is obviously a much better matchup than their fight in 2010. I think Floyd’s boxing skills and smarts would be the difference. But I’m not sure about Chavez-Mosley.

Please do list for us what Chavez did better than prime Duran. I need a laugh.

The difference between Duran and Chavez can easily be summed up, and I always say this: One man beat Ray Leonard. The other needed Richard Steele's help to beat the wannabe version of Ray Leonard.

Purely based on the Whitaker "draw" I see Mayweather having more of a chance than Chavez over any slick boxer with good defence, as Floyd was pretty much the slickest, although the fight would be chronically boring.

I see Mayweather winning vs Forrest, Whitaker (maybe), Pacquiao (even if Manny was prime). Gavlian and Napoles I don't know enough about but as they are seen as being two of the greatest WW of all time I see them possibly winning over both Floyd and Julio as simply bigger men (although wasn't Jose more of a blown up Jnr WW?)

Pryor is the joker in the pack. From what I have seen style wise Aaron could simply overwhelm both but other than Arguello (who was a smaller man) I don't see the same level of opponents so very hard to judge. In reality Mayweather and Chavez maybe a significant step up in class for Aaron. I feel Pryor threw too many punches for Floyd's defence not to eventually leak while Chavez had an iron chin and could potentially outslug Aaron. I think they are "better" fighters than Pryor but it maybe a styles thing. To be honest would need more of an expert on here to give their thoughts on this!

I wonder how either of them would deal with Sandy Saddler? I don't know the exact physical comparison but he was tall, strong and could hit. But he was also super dirty, would his rough house tactic unsettle Mayweather?

Again as far as styles making fights I wonder how Floyd would do against Zivic and Basilio, who after all beat Armstrong and SSR. I actually feel Chavez may have the edge against these two.

Pryor would get his ass beat by either.

What do you think vs Saddler who was champ at Jnr Feather as well as Feather?

Floyd can probably sneak by with a decision, but I favour Chavez overall.
    Narrowly beats Duran
    Narrowly beats Napoles
    Loses to Pryor
    Beats Pacquiao
    Beats Sweet Pea
    Loses to Gavilan
    Loses to Forrest
