Is there a possibility of Floyd defeating Canelo by a late stoppage?

  2. Anything is possible but I give it like a 10% chance. Maybe less

when this fight was first made i predicted then and still do.. that mayweather will stop canelo late.canelo is supposed to be the man to give floyd problems.i just don't see it.in fact i think the fight will look like a total mismatch.floyd dominating up until he stops him.

again i wouldn't mind being wrong on this one.but im pretty confident in my prediction

Doubtful, Canelo don't seem like a guy who would allow himself to be stopped.

it's possible if Alvarez's stamina gives out early and Mayweather is hitting him cleanly at will in the later rounds. One of the biggest and most deserved criticism of Mayweather is not finishing opponents, if you pay attention in almost every Mayweather fight its points in the later rounds where you feel Mayweather could get the KO if he only threw one more flurry or added one more punch.i.e Cotto rd 12, Mosley rd 10, Marquez rd 3/4, Hoya rd 9,
    Judah rd 10 ect...

very doubtful, even if floyd hurts canelo by accumulation he wont go in for the kill against a guy like canelo and with good reason. if he does stop him thats fuken HUGE boost to his legacy

He's going to be chasing him all nigh. So I wouldn't rule out Canelo gassing towards the end and Mayweather stopping him.

Floyd will never be known as a go for broke type fighter, but when Alvarez slows down and is out of options Floyd might catch him with something.

floyd will not trade punches even if canelo is drained and gassed worst than ODLH vs PAC... floyd KO range only in fanboys dreams...

There's always a possibility but Floyd's not going to go for it unless he gets Canelo so badly hurt to the point where there appears to be no risk at all trying for the stoppage. And given how he'll likely be even more safety-first in this fight, he's not going to put together enough punches to hurt Canelo that badly.
