Is there a reason why Ward passed on all those belts he could have won after Super6?

I don't get it, why did he passed on Bute's belt, and why not take Bad Jaw Clowson's belt? Why dehydrate that joke of a fighter, the man couldn't hold his own for 30 seconds against Stevenson! The evidence point that Ward will duck Kovalev, only the blind can't see it!

He did duck Bute, that's beyond debate. But the Dawson fight was huge. The Kovalev fight will be huge.

Whilst he did duck Bute he at least beat the man who beat him.

Not taking risks to lose your momentum by losing to a bad style matchup.
looking back though, he probably would have a lot more troubles against Bute as Froch had, but he would have beaten him clearly on points. Also eventually he lost his complete momentum anyway by biting the hand that fed him.

The super6 was tough on all the participants... A boxer normally doesnt fight 5 tough fights in a row...

I asked myself that same question however in hindsight Bute was always susceptible and while he was an excellent boxer/puncher his ability to adjust wasn't the greatest even when he defeated Andrade the second time around he didn't change his approach he merely stepped his normal gear up a notch or two....that wont get you the W vs the like of Ward.

Dawson in his prime and at his best was one of the most gifted fighters I've ever seen....his issue was his lack of concentration and consistency. Ward's win vs Chad wasn't the highlight of his career but it was a solid win.

The question I have was wtf was Bute fighting while Ward was building a legacy mixing it up with the best fighters during the SS? Nobody special.

I think a lot of the reason Froch handled Bute so easily is because of how sharp he was from facing top competition in the SS.

Ward did not need to necessarily fight Bute to prove anything, after the tourney. It would have been on Bute's terms, and in Quebec. If Ward didn't want to do that, it was a monetary loss. But, not a loss in terms of legacy.

Ward can't be blamed for DAWSON saying live on HBO, he wanted to come down to 168 and face him. Now, we can't say that was the best version of Dawson either, draining down to 168. But, Ward took care of business.

If Bute was ready to go to Nottingham, he was ready also to go Oakland to fight Ward and Showtime was ready to make big money on that. But Ward after the Supersix said -Bute is not worthy, wich is sound like BS: The man has the IBF belt, why you don't take it, he is ready to go in your court.

But I understand now that Brand was worthy...

he probably would have beaten Bute, who even said he'd go to Oakland to fight Ward

instead, Ward went after his promoter and was KTFO'd 3x in court

Well...I don't recall Ward saying Bute is not worthy. And I don't recall Bute saying he would go to Oakland. Not saying these things aren't true. But, it's easier to believe if you have quotes.

Now, the only reason I would see Ward saying Bute isn't worthy is because he didn't really take any big fights while everyone fought back to back tough fights in that tournament. Then he waits around for the winner, who would be somewhat shop worn, right after the tourney. It seems like he was acting entitled. But, that's just one interpretation.

Check this youtube video about Ward and Bute. At 3minutes 30, there is a comment from Bute's team about Ward cha-cha dance... it's yes, no, maybe...it's look like the same strategy that Ward made to Golovkin. Just when GGG signed with Lemieux, Ward said: I am ready to fight Golokin, let's make the fight...Oh what, you go with another fighter...

You can see the same comment in this article.
