What's more stupid. That Oscar would let Arum and manny call all the shots? Yeah, that's how Oscar works.

PED accusations could also ruin a legacy (even more so than re-hydration clauses since this re-hydration clause is something only more serious fans would appreciate) but it didn't stop people from making them. I could see how Top Rank could prevent Cotto from talking about a re-hydration clause, but why would Oscar keep mum about it? Considering how eager he was to diminish Pac's performance during the promotion of the Pac-Hatton fight.

What if the fraction of truth here is the truth that Oscar screwed up managing his weight and that the fight with Cotto was at a catchweight?

Has there ever been a fight where it's proven that there was a rehydration clause?

You know Saul...I can look at a shooting start and assume it's a friggin god, or Alien spaceship, or magic candybar... but the reality is...it's just me making an assumption.

Yes PED accusations do ruin it also so thats why Pac has to agree to the test. Its just like Kat Williams said. "If you are accused of doing crack for 30 years then ***** you are doing crack!!" All he has to do is take the damn test to get rid of that.

Also as far as Oscar not saying anything. Im sure they would have had to sign some sort of contract so no word gets out. Thats what i would do if i did that. YOu know kind of like saying. Hey you say anything about this i will sue your ass and have the right to.

The same with Oscar's supposed drug test result he refused to release?

You know the difference between me and Vivek?

I have enough intelligence, dignity and respect that I don't ****ing parrot that BS about Oscar using PEDs.

If there is proof, then show it. I don't make threads or 'answer mailbags' to ****ing parrot the BS about Oscar refusing to release his blood/urine results.

I remember after the Oscar-Pac fight, Schaefer was being interviewed and he was furious at Oscar's nutritionist because Oscar didn't lose the weight in a healthy way. He said that Oscar should only have weighed 147 for the two seconds he was on the scale, then rehydrated to 160 by fight time.

Apparently Oscar's metabolism was so messed-up that he was incapable of putting the weight back on. Also, no-one has ever told Oscar what to do during fight negotiations. Ever.

Roger Mayweather said that Hatton wasn't allowed to weigh more than 145 on fight night but HBO weighed him at 152. If Roger is the main source for this, then it can't possibly be taken seriously.

I know some people that heard about some people that talked to someone who knew a guy that lived next door to a person who met a guy who won the lottery.

Not all rumors have any grounding in truth. We love just making up rumors on my ship because if nothing else, it's amusing.

I'm not here to argue whether or not Pac is on peds or not, my point there was that in the boxing scene, the risk of ruining a fighter's legacy is not something people seem to be too concerned about. If people in the scene find it easy to make truly serious accusations like a fighter being on PED's, why would they be concerned about being silent about a less serious accusation like re-hydration clauses? It's not as if people in the boxing world are overly cautious about belittling other fighters.

Again, I find it hard to believe Oscar, the cash cow of the time bending over backwards and putting himself in such a huge disadvantage on top of having to weigh in at 147 by agreeing to a rehydration clause when clearly he can make big money against any other top fighter w/in his range of weight. Sure Pac probably posed the biggest monetary gain, but surely the revenue generated from other top fighters would still be significant.

    ...another question.

Why should Pac use PED or ask for catchweight or ask for a rehydration clause if his fights are fixed anyway? :huh:huh:huh
