Is there a rehydration weight set for the Cotto vs Pacquiao bout?

    I have been out of the loop with the fight details. I know the fight is at 145 but is there any rehydration limit set? thank you in advance my fellow boxing fanatics

    Nothing has been mentioned about that. And normally there's none . . . so I would assume there's none.

    If there is . . . it could have been specifically mentioned in all the press releases.

    Yeah. I expect Cotto to come as he normally does for his welterweight fights. Chances are he will be drained at the weigh in but he will be strong and good on fight night.

    There should have been one, something 154 instead of the catchweight. The catchweight won't prevent cotto from coming in at 160

    if u guys expect cotto to cotto to come in at 160 what are u guys expecting manny to come in at

    I think the standard allowable is +10% of your official weigh in, when you get re-weighed just before the fight, while in the boxer's dressing room.

    So, 145 means 14.5 pounds.


    I may be wrong, but I'm sure I've heard of that rule before.

    There is no rehydration weight limit. (or such thing)

    The fighters just need to be on the set/below/exact limit weight on weight in day. And rehydrate back to ANY weight they could possibly on fight night.
