Is there a single thing to like about Andre Ward?

I'd like to see him getting ko'd, but unfortunately I can't think of anyone at SMW who would be able to do it.

 

I agree to a point; yeah, his fights haven't been close and I don't think location played a factor in that.

From the perspective of it being a tournament situation though, it would have been good to see all fighters have 1 home, 1 away and 1 neutral fight, but that's kind of wishful thinking on my behalf, I guess.

How do you see the final going? I think it will be Ward's toughest fight, as Froch doesn't give anyone an easy night, but he'll win a clear decision.

If referees called fights the way the rulebook states, DQ's would become the regular. He fights within the constraints provided him by the rules and their officials. People probably hate him because of his S.O.G proclaimation, and he probably cost them a wager or too. :bbb

 

it's true man, if he beats froch and bute he's easily eclipsed joe c.

 

He's boring and feather fisted, but a technician and spoils the other guys gameplan beautifully. Im a fan, not a big fan, but a fan. And no Money don't need to act like that, and why should he? to appease pussies into thinkin he's mister nice guy? **** that, cats are too damn sensitive now a days.

 

I dont like his clinching,headbutts, easy route for the s6 because the american media wants the next big american champion, hometown fights. but other then that I dont have an problem with him, he seems like a confident nice guy and is a talented boxe if he just gets out of his hometown and takes on good fight without to much dirty **** then he is great.
Im still rooting for froch to win s6 though, he deserves it more than ward.

 

Somebody asked if he'll ever KO somebody with a punch. The answer is yes. After his victory over Froch, he'll KO Bute in Montreal with the idiot referee waiting for 3 hours to count him out because Ward failed to listen to his neutral corner instructions. He told Ward to go "stand" in the neutral corner, but he "sat down" instead because he knew it would be awhile before Bute woke up. After this feat, they will still not give him any credit and continue to hate on him...:bbb

 

Are you really unable to see the problem with the way Ward cheats through fight after fight? The headbutt he gave Kessler in the 8th round was the ugliest scene I have ever ben met with in the sport of boxing, spare when Zab Judah gave Floyd Mayweather a good one in the nutters. Ward might very well eclipse Joe, but he is still an extreme case of dirty fighter.

He doesn't beat the **** out of anybody. He pokes and prods, lands the odd nice shot, ties up, repeat. He's also dirty and an incredibly boring personality. He's got the talent to do alot more to opponents but he's another one with the "swim without getting wet" mentality of winning without taking too many chances, which is fine for him but this is a spectator sport, it needs people to keep showing up and after this super 6 tournament is over I'll probably never watch him again he just offers nothing in the way of entertainment value.

 

Boring personality? what's your basis on saying that? Everytime someone says that about a fighter, it seems they like their fighters to be jerks or something.

 

there isn't much to dislike about Ward other than the fact that he's half black.
