Ward is a very nice person, but if you are saying the klitschko's are boring, then i suppose you haven't watch Ward fight. Plus he does some disgusting things, but personally he's very likable.

    Super fighter.
    Master tactician.
    Fast hands.
    Very hard to tag properly.
Comes across as a really respectful, decent, family man despite having a rough childhood.

    Whats NOT to like?

Been a fan of Ward since he came out of the olympics...he just a winner....that just makes some people dislike him...that comes in all sports when someone or some team goes undefeated..can't please everyone with his style...it's just personal preference...I'll be cheering him on to win tonight.

If Ward had been born in Europe there would be no end to the threads calling him a Euro-bum. He's skilled no doubt, but he's nowhere near Jones or Calzaghe level (yet), and he's been given everything possible for him to succeed and become the next US superstar. You'd think he was already an ATG the way some Yanks go on about him though, and people on this board should know to never bet against Froch by now. He has a habit of surprising people.

ward would be given credit if he was a euro for stepping up in a tournament of this sort just like froch has. jones was the #1 fighter in the world in his time at 168 but joe??? ottke was ranked higher in the late 90s. ward is 27 now. when joe was 27 his was struggling with the likes of reid and thornberry. ward is several classes above joe and with a win over froch tonight, ward would surpass everything joe did at 168, easily.

I don't really know anything about Ward, and I don't watch his fights. I did see that face off style programme with him and Froch, though, and I've read an article or two on the upcoming match.

Something strikes me as weird or off key about Ward outside the ring, but I can't put my finger on it. Froch somehow feels more real and genuine.
