Could it happen in a LV Stadium with 50.000+ fans?

It doesnt seem right for a fight of this magnitude to be in in a 16,000 max arena...

How about that outdoor stadium they talked about.

Vegas has a football stadium and it doesn't hold 50,000 I believe and most people want to watch the fight in a nice luxury seating hotel ring side setting....thats the way boxing is ...Vegas is boxing ,and Boxing is Vegas.

    great topic!

I hope a College or University can elevate their Sports Departments and School prestige by signing a deal to showcase an event of great magnitude, Mayweather vs Pacquiao.

Build a temporary stadium that can seat 25-30,000, isnt that what they did for Holmes-Cooney?

Yeah, it's not on the strip though, it's at the Sam Boyd Stadium where it could probably hold 50,000+

Sam Boyd Stadium makes sense but Arum says it too far off the Strip. I gues Cowboys Stadium is closer.

UNLV field? They have mentioned erecting a 32K seat temporary stadium if they can get the fight during the summer months, so at latest August.

I thnk neither the MGM grand nor a temporary stadium thats holds anything less than 50,000 will not do this figt just justice it deserves.
Look at how many people were at Pac-Clottey, Pac-Mayweather deserves a very large audience as people who don't want boxing will watch this fight, so it needs to be a superbowl type event.

Vegas is just fine. If the MGM isn't sufficient, contractors can build a temporary outdoor stadium in a matter of days which would also be beneficial for the local economy.
