There's such a thing as ring age which varies due to things like genetics, number of fights, wars, etc. At 31 Eubank was past his prime. Eubank had a lot of wars and was in no way in his prime anymore when he faced Joe. It doesn't matter how you put it those scalps do not make a great fighter. Calzaghe could probably be ranked as a great due to longevity and the 0 which seems to matter more nowadays, but he does not have enough great wins to totally cement his placement as an ATG. It will always be debated. Kessler and Hopkins were elite wins other than that his record is not great at all imo. But that's just my opinion.

Well people in the British forum don't.

If you only read what is posted on here, we'd currently be at an all time low in boxing.

Because hes the one with the best chance of making the thread starter but hes still a long way off. He has the potential to do HOF though, maybe jamie mac as well.
Imo theres no current british fighters that can make ATG. Grebb was mentioned earlier, that guy had near on 300 fights in 13 yr and fought all the best of the era. These guys just kept fighting. Boxing was a different sport then. You wouldnt put frampton or any current british fighters in a list with some of the names of yesteryear amd theres plenty of names from then. Except Charley Burley the rest of black murderers row probably arnt top 50 that shows the quality req for this honour ATG is a special list for real special fighters. imo none of our current champions would make the top 100

    Exactly.

Posters on the British love a young black American

If you were born on this side of the Atlantic you have to do a lot more to get praise on the British

P.s it's because they think it makes them look unbiased and sophisticated. It doesn't.

    Yes you're correct.
Bruno, Benn, Eubank, Hatton all had no support.
