That's a good question. If you can believe Pacquiao injured his arm during training camp why can't you believe that Mayweather was dehydrated? Sounds to me like both men over trained. If you are to believe each of them...

 

It doesn't matter if he was dehydrated. Taking 750 ml of saline solution in your house - which was admitted to - is ILLEGAL. It says strictly on their site that even if you were severely dehydrated that it had to take place in a hospital and instead it took place suspiciously in his home. And, he didn't ask for a TUE until two weeks after the fight.

Also, 750 ml of saline solution doesn't even make sense to use for dehydration. Orally drinking water has faster effects. Plus, that doesn't even account how Mayweather preached before and after the fight that he never has issues making weight.

The thing that angers me most about it is Mayweather didn't file for a TUE until 2 weeks after the fight for an illegal IV and NSAC didn't make a fuss. While Manny asked for a Toradol shot the night of the fight, with USADA's backing, and NSAC refused.

I don't think he was dehydrated either I think that was garbage. And I know it was illegal which is why I believe he should be investigated for breaking the rules. Also, taking an IV is more effective than drinking water. And you can dehydrate from other reasons aside from making weight, it can also be from working out too hard without consuming enough water, or you could be sick.

 

I don't know for sure but it means two things:

- He rehydrated massively on fight night for a huge weight advantage
- He was masking PED's

Floyd said himself up to the Berto fight that Ariza made sure he was always on weight and that he never has issues making 147 lbs, so it makes it seem really suspicious.

They tried to investigate. It was a really big deal, but the powers at hand who I think knew they did something wrong are just too powerful in the world of boxing, honestly. It'd be hard to come at NSAC and win.

It makes it really funny though, because now, Mayweather has more evidence of PED use post-May 2nd than Pacquiao has ever had and yet it Pacquiao who had to deal w/ the defamation.

I agree with you, but to say he was masking drugs is just an assumption at this point. An assumption that has a lot of evidence to back it up.

I think it was the former, his fight night weight wasn't revealed for that reason maybe.
