Is there an historical comparison to Riddick Bowe's Career arc?

I was looking at Bowe's record, and I was wondering if there have been (m)any similar past or present careers like he had.

His resume only has one loss -- and one where he lost by MD and claims the advantage in the 3 fight series with that fighter.

He seemingly relinquished a title rather than face the # 1 contender for one of his titles (I know there are a lot of politics, though it's really hard as a casual fan not to see that as a case of him avoiding Lewis).

Has back-to-back DQ wins (not the kind of DQ you'd like to have) in fights that it sounds like he was not winning at the time.

A lot of out of ring issues.

It's not like Bowe got out when he was on top, but he still only has that one loss. Just curious if there are any historical precedents.
